Mini just revealed their high-performance John Cooper Works Concept at the 2014 North American International Auto show.

This car rides on newly designed 18-inch wheels and is dressed up in special side skirts, a rear apron as well as a diffuser element. Stiffer springs and high-performance brakes amp up the fun factor and should result in a “thrillingly sporty driving experience” according to Mini.

The car’s paint is pretty unique. The color is called “Bright Highways Grey,” the final layer of which is actually hand polished.

The JCW’s aggressive exterior styling hints at strong performance but the company hasn’t said anything about what’s going under the car’s hood. Rumors strongly suggest a turbocharged four-banger with around 210 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. A sports exhaust lets it bark like a bulldog.

I find it interesting b/c on average, 'asian' folks are deemed to be shorter, and yet, this Japanese car is made out for 'American' proportions. I have a hard time in 'American' cars b/c being on the smaller side, I found the sizing of Americna viehicles to be a little on the larger side. I found htis article interesting b/c the Mazda's I've been in seem to be just right. European cars (VWs) all appear otbe a bit 'smalliesh'
