Initially unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, Infiniti will reveal what’s under the hood of its Q50 Ea Rouge concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month and based on a new teaser video, it’ll be worth the wait.

The video actually shows nothing of the car. Far from disappointing, the incredible engine sounds and exhaust note certainly help to build anticipation, with unmistakable turbocharged nuances.

Infiniti boss Johan dy Nysschen previously confirmed the engine would be a V configuration and hinted that the motor could be from one of its corporate partners – perhaps a veiled reference to Mercedes-Benz.

“With its Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork, we thought it only fitting the Q50 Eau Rouge’s beating heart was suitably sporting,” said dy Nysschen,. “Our engineers have perfectly captured the tone of Infiniti’s take on premium performance, and a car that is as impressive as the Q50 Eau Rouge sounds is surely a car to challenge performance cars in the premium sector.”

Rumored to have upwards of 500 hp the video ends with the hashtag #F1Q50 signaling that there’s some tie-up with its Formula One Red Bull Racing team.
