The face of Ford’s recent advertising campaigns won’t return for any new commercials.

Television personality Mike Rowe, who hosted the now-cancelled Discovery Channel show Dirty Jobs, served as a Ford pitchman for seven years. But the company confirmed yesterday that Rowe will not continue in the role.

The collaboration lasted seven years, but Ford spokesman Chris Preuss told Advertising Age that the company is choosing to move in another direction. Currently, the company doesn’t plan to cast another celebrity in his place.
