A grainy photo Hyundai’s next new sedan just leaked. Humorously, the blurry image is also the clearest view of it yet.

The seventh-generation Hyundai Sonata is set to roll out for the 2015 model year wearing the newest version of the company’s Fluidic design language. That is the same styling Hyundai debuted on the new Genesis sedan during the Detroit Auto Show in January. Hyundai is expected to debut the car officially during the New York Auto Show on April 16.

Specific details about the new mid-size sedan are still thin, but the company already said it will ride on a new platform made with 51 percent advanced high-strength steel compares to a 21 percent mix with the model it will replace. The next Sonata will also offer new in-car technologies designed to make it more user friendly.

The current generation arrived in 2009 and went on to become a major win for the brand. Before the sixth generation launched, sales peaked at 149,513 in 2006, but the new car soared to 230,605 in 2012 before tapering off to 203,648 last year.
