The Ford Focus ST has been redesigned for the 2015 model year.

Making its debut at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 2015 Ford Focus ST boasts new front and rear fascias, standard 18-inch Rado Gray wheels, a new exterior color called Magnetic Metallic, a redesigned instrument panel center stack and a new center console with more storage space.

At the core of it all however was Ford’s Team RS improving the entire driving experience of the Ford Focus ST. The European arm of Ford’s Global Performance Vehicle group made it its primary objective to make the new Focus ST sportier and more exciting to drive thanks to all-new front springs and shock absorbers. The electric power-assisted steering has been revised as well to provide the driver with improved steering feel.

Powering the 2015 Focus ST is the American automaker’s 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 252 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission.

The new Focus ST will be available in three trim levels: ST1, ST2 and ST3. ST2 adds partial leather with base and side bolsters while ST3 adds full charcoal seats with a black leather finish.

“Since its debut, Focus ST has been bringing our fun-to-drive DNA to the hot hatch segment with a uniquely Ford blend of driving dynamics, performance and style,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “Now, with improved dynamics, an updated suspension, new styling and a more sophisticated cabin, we expect the 2015 Focus ST will remain the hottest hatch worldwide.”
