2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Runs 10.8-Second 1/4 Mile

2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Runs 10.8-Second 1/4 Mile

The most powerful Dodge ever built, the 707-hp Challenger SRT Hellcat, will run a quarter mile on the drag strip in 10.8 seconds when equipped with a set of street legal drag radial tires.

Running on the stock Pirelli P Zero tires the time climbs to a still impressive 11.2 seconds. Both times have been certified by the NHRA. Trap speed for the production tires sits at 125 mph, while the drag radials increase the trap speed to 126 mph.

With that 10.8-second quarter mile, the Challenger SRT Hellcat will beat a 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia, a McLaren MP4-12C and match the 2013 Nissan GT-R out there on the drag strip.

We all knew the Hemi was capable of whatever was asked of it. Street machine, standard assembly line family vehicle and, ahem, rocket ship. Love the Hemis. Nothing else comes close.

So was the 800hp SRT8/10 by Dodge. It’s more like re-hash, re-style lateral moves than upfront break records.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Challenger is the Best looking retro remake of the muscle car era from the U.S.A. Trifecta and glad it got an upgrade.

I can’t recall anything in the 80’s making anywhere near 800 hp? What was coming off the production line I missed while I was waiting my turn to get gas to go 55 mph on the interstate?? Where you even alive in the 80’s Cyberats or old enough to drive?

GT-R be like: i’m the best on earth.
HCAT be like: only at costing over 100,000$ for a car that does all driving for you, and has some of the most expensive repair cost on earth. your great in the twisties when your not lying on track times for porsche to catch. No autobahns in the majority of countries. Nur. is pointless. We run same 11.0 1/4. You just cost 40/60,000$ more than me. Dump 20,000 into me i’ll be running 9.4 1/4 and still cost 20,000$ less than your base…….
GT-R be like: but i’m the best on earth?

  • mrmocha

whatever guys. Nissan the best car manufacturer on earth everyone knows it. So what if a nismo GT-R cost like 200,000$ dollars. It’s the best car ever made and was in fast furious 6 who i saw with my brother.
