2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

The most powerful Dodge ever built, the 707-hp Challenger SRT Hellcat, will run a quarter mile on the drag strip in 10.8 seconds when equipped with a set of street legal drag radial tires.

Running on the stock Pirelli P Zero tires the time climbs to a still impressive 11.2 seconds. Both times have been certified by the NHRA. Trap speed for the production tires sits at 125 mph, while the drag radials increase the trap speed to 126 mph.

With that 10.8-second quarter mile, the Challenger SRT Hellcat will beat a 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia, a McLaren MP4-12C and match the 2013 Nissan GT-R out there on the drag strip.

Are you dumb? This is a production car.

We all knew the Hemi was capable of whatever was asked of it. Street machine, standard assembly line family vehicle and, ahem, rocket ship. Love the Hemis. Nothing else comes close.

So was the 800hp SRT8/10 by Dodge. It’s more like re-hash, re-style lateral moves than upfront break records.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Challenger is the Best looking retro remake of the muscle car era from the U.S.A. Trifecta and glad it got an upgrade.

I can’t recall anything in the 80′s making anywhere near 800 hp? What was coming off the production line I missed while I was waiting my turn to get gas to go 55 mph on the interstate?? Where you even alive in the 80′s Cyberats or old enough to drive?
