Chrysler has announced a recall that affects 895,000 SUVs over wiring issues in the vanity mirror.

The 2011 through 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are affected by this issue, which is only present in vehicles that have had a repair related to the vanity mirror or headliner. In these vehicles, the wiring may short circuit due to improper reassembly by the dealer, increasing the risk of a fire.

Chrysler is aware of three injuries related to this issue, all of which occurred in vehicles that had been serviced. Chrysler dealers will install a spacer containing a wire guide in every single one of the recalled vehicles, regardless of whether an issue is present or not.

Out of the 895,000 affected vehicles, 651,000 are located in the U.S.
