Images of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz AMG GT sports car without camouflage are hitting the Internet today.

At least that’s sort of the case. Following the September 9 official debut of the upcoming AMG GT sports car, gamers will be able to take it out for a virtual spin in the title Driveclub in early October. Pictures of in-game footage are showing parts of the car that, until now, have been under admittedly thin wraps. Mercedes released official pictures of the AMG GT wearing a svelte coat of camouflage earlier this year giving away its general body shape.

The company provided its developers with extensive technical details about the car in order to make it available in the game so soon after its initial debut.

Previously, Mercedes collaborated with Driveclub in a similar move to promote the CLA45 AMG. Aside from the September 9 debut, Mercedes will also have the car on display during the Paris Motor Show during the first week of October.

Information about the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 that powers the car is already available. Mercedes developed the engine specifically for the AMG GT and used something called a “hot v” configuration – placing the turbochargers inside the cylinder “V” – in order to make it an especially compact package. The powertrain will make somewhere between 462 and 510 hp according to a previous statement by the company.
