The “something else” Tesla plans on announcing next week is reportedly an introduction to the company’s automated driving functions.

With multiple automakers having revealed their upcoming automated driving technologies, it’s no surprise that Tesla is looking to announce what its been working on.

The company has never shied away from acknowledging next-generation technology and appears to be working on adding electronic features that will help drive the car. Last month, the automaker began installing cameras on its Model S, including a forward-facing one behind the windshield in order to enable the use of safety technology as required by European regulators.
