Porsche Cayman GT4 Spotted Testing Again

Porsche is preparing an even hotter version of the Cayman and our spy photographers managed to snap some photos.

Power for the GT4 is said to sit between 370 and 400 hp, routed through Porsche’s PDK seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The current 3.4-liter flat six could be tuned for more power to hit those numbers, but there is a possibility of the car running a turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a hybrid setup.

Modifications seen on this prototype include large lightweight wheels, larger brakes, a new front bumper and a large rear spoiler. Weight savings are also in store for this hardcore Cayman model.

The GT4 looks like it might be the first Cayman model to be faster than Porsche’s top-dog 911, as it is supposed to sit between the Cayman GTS and 911 S models.
