Mercedes has released details on the baby brother of the G 63 AMG 6×6.

Previously, the German automaker released a sole image of the G 500 4×4² but now the company has revealed full specs and details ahead of its Geneva Auto Show debut. Sporting a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine churning 422 hp, the G 500 4×4² will ride on 22-inch wheels paired to large 325/55/22 rubber while carbon fiber body parts is just a taste of what the monster can do.

As was reported earlier, the G 500 4×4² features the same portal axles found in the G63 AMG 6×6 along with an all-wheel drive powertrain that makes it venerable off-road but perform equally well on the streets.

Those really looking to experience the G 500 4×4² off road can opt for 37 x 1.25 x 18-inch MT tires which further emphasizes the SUV’s 17.7 inches of ground clearance.

Inside, there’s all the luxury accoutrements you’d expect from Mercedes-Benz, offering an exclusive ambience with the designo Exclusive package. The vast majority of the interior components are covered in rich, black designo leather with white contrast stitching while the seat surfaces and door panels have been covered with DINAMICA microfiber.

AutoGuide.com will be sure to grab more photos of the G 500 4×4² up close and personal when we report live from the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in early March.
