Porsche Employees Get $9,400 Bonus

Porsche capped off a very good 2014 and so did its employees.

The company announced today that it will grant a gross voluntary bonus of 8,600 euros ($9,440) to its employees that includes a contribution of 700 euros ($770) to their pension plan. Porsche launched the Macan last year, a model that is already its second-best selling vehicle behind the Cayenne.

In the U.S., Porsche sold 47,007 vehicles that contributed to a total of 189,849 deliveries worldwide.Porsche said today that the bonus will be paid to about 14,600 employees. Earlier this month, the company announced that it earned a record breaking 2.7 billion Euros in operating profit. Porsche also closed its order book for the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder halo car last December.

    It's nice of them to share, though when you're earning $19,000 per car it's easy to be generous.
