Order books for the 2016 models opened yesterday, coming with a new set of rules and guidelines for how dealers can order the cars. For 2016, each dealer will get a potential Hellcat allocation total for the whole model year, so they know the exact amount of cars they can sell. Hellcat allocation is based on Dodge sales performance along with historical Hellcat “days on lot” performance and dealers will only be able to sell the amount of cars they are allocated.

Previously, some dealers were taking orders for cars they knew they wouldn’t be able to get, a practice Chrysler called “unscrupulous.” This led Dodge to cancel about 900 unfulfilled 2015 orders, though each one of these buyers received a coupon to buy the 2016 car for the original 2015 price.

Performance from the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 is unchanged, still pumping out 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The car has been such a hit that Chrysler is doubling production for 2016, which should put the total at around 8,000 cars built.

These b*****ds forgot to mention new color options for the 2016 Hellcats; they are: Plum Crazy Purple, Cheerleader Pink, and Jackass Dark Gray (at the very least of this moment). The 2016 Chally Hellcat was also tested at the Nrburgring; one source said it completed the Nordschleife in almost 7 minutes and 52 seconds.

I hope Dodge brings back Blue Pearl Metallic found on the 2012 Challengers. Add a silver stripe and you have my daughters car. The 392 with 470-480 hp is a beast in itself. I can't imagine a 700 hp version, oh that the hellcat.
