Subaru WRX STI S207 Aims to Be 'World's Most Enjoyable Vehicle'

The Subaru WRX STI S207 has been announced at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, limited to just 400 units for the Japanese market.

The Japanese automaker is making a bold claim with the limited edition WRX STI, saying that it aims to be the “world’s most enjoyable vehicle.” Although that will surely be debatable, the WRX STI will a range-topping model packing 324 horsepower, up from the standard 305-hp figure. Handling has been enhanced with a quick steering ratio of 11:1 while other suspension upgrades include an STI flexible tower bar, DampMatic II front suspension with adjustable damping and front-rear Active Torque Vectoring. Braking performance has been overhauled with a set of Brembo six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear with drilled rotors.

Special design elements on the WRX STI S207 include an exclusive large front spoiler and a different rear bumper air outlet. The inside gets exclusive STI-spec Recaro front bucket seats and customized sports instruments.

Available in WR Blue Pearl, Crystal White Pearl and Crystal Black Silica, Subaru will also offer a limited 100-unit run that includes the NBR Challenge Package and a vivid Sunrise Yellow paint job. The NBR Challenge Package adds an exclusive dry carbon rear spoiler and an ornament commemorating Subaru’s victory in the SP3T class in the 2015 Nurburgring 24 Hours race. Only half of the 400 units will be had with the NBR Challenge Package.
