There will be four Ford GTs running the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.

All four cars will be entered by Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and will be competing in the GTE Pro Class.

“It was great to see all four Ford GTs up there on the Le Mans entry list today,” said Dave Pericak, Ford Performance global director. “Newcomers are by no means guaranteed an entry, whatever their history or ambitions, so we thank the ACO for giving Ford the opportunity for a four car assault in June.”

For numbers, the four GTs will run with 66 through 69, not coincidentally the four years that the original Ford GT won Le Mans in the late 1960s. Two of the cars are from the FIA World Endurance Championship series while the other two come from the IMSA WeatherTechSportsCar Championship.

The lineup of Ford GT drivers will be revealed closer the race, which will go on June 18-19, 2016.
