Welcome to AutoGuide.com’s Daily Diecast feature. Every day this week, we’ll be showcasing an extra special diecast model car from the web and showing you exactly why it’s awesome.

If you’re a Generation X kid, you may remember this gorgeous specimen being all the rage when you were growing up.

The Lamborghini Countach was built between 1972-1990 and styled by Marcello Gandini, the same person who designed the Lamborghini Miura. He was also the gentleman who introduced the concept of scissor doors, first seen in the Alfa Romeo 33 Carabo in 1968. These doors would later become one of Lamborghini’s most famous trademark.

No Lamborghini model would be complete without functional scissor doors, and this 1:18 to scale model is no exception. Besides the doors, this Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole diecast model also features an opening trunk and hood.

Another stunning feature is, of course, this electrifying lime green color sure to draw the attention of onlookers who appreciate your vast collection of cars. While you may have some swanky diecasts already in your possession, this Lambo will no doubt steal the show with its lime green allure.

This 3-pound model offers a great amount of detail for the small price of $36.
