US safety regulators are opening up an investigation spurred on by complaints of the brakes in recent model Ford pickup trucks

Nearly 282,000 Ford F-150 s could be affected by a potential brake issue, says the National Highway Traffic Safety Association. Vehicles affected include 2015 and 2016 models equipped with the 3.5-liter V6 engine.

The investigation starts due to the 25 complaints of sudden and complete loss of braking, but NHTSA has said there’s been no injuries or deaths related to these complaints.

This investigation is one of three that were opened last Wednesday for Ford vehicles. There were also investigations posted on the NHTSA website for 2011-2013 model year Edge and 2010 Fusion sedans.
