The updated 2018 Mazda 6 is heading to dealerships in April 2018 with a starting price of $22,840 including destination.

Mazda’s stylish sedan was thoroughly re-engineered for the 2018 model year, resulting in a quieter and more comfortable Mazda6. It also carries more standard and available features, along with a newly available turbocharged engine option. But before we get to the new turbocharged engine, those looking for a six-speed automatic transmission with the standard naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine will have to pay $1,050 additional.

The Mazda6 offers a Sport i-ActivSense package on the automatic model for $625, adding Smart Brake Support, Lane-Departure Warning, adaptive Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Lane-Keep Assist, High Beam Control, automatic on/off headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Buyers looking for more luxury can opt for the Mazda6 Touring, priced from $26,590. The Touring trim builds on the standard Sport model by adding leatherette seating surfaces, standard SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission, 19-inch wheels, Advanced Keyless Entry, and a six-way power driver’s seat. Completing the package are rear HVAC vents, heated front seats, and a power moonroof.

Found in the Mazda6 Grand Touring trim, the SkyActiv-G 2.5T engine offers 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, a noticeable increase from the standard 2.5-liter mill’s 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. The 2018 Mazda6 Grand Touring will start from $30,090. The Grand Touring trim also adds an 11-speaker Bose Premium audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio with a four-month trial subscription, Mazda Navigation, an auto-dimming interior mirror, auto-dimming driver-side mirror, heated side mirrors, and paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

Then there’s the Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve trim, with a starting price of $32,590. That model adds black or Parchment leather-trimmed seats, a wind-projected Active Driving Display with Traffic Sign Recognition, an eight-way power driver’s seat, six-way power front passenger’s seat, Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), brilliant silver alloy wheels, rear lip spoiler, windshield wipers de-icer, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. It’s also the entry point for Mazda’s first-ever ventilated front seats.

At the top of the range is the Mazda6 Signature, priced from $35,640. It is available with either Parchment or Deep Chestnut Nappa leather seating surfaces, Japanese Sen wood interior accents, gilded UltraSuede NU whose coloring was inspired by Japanese kimonos, a new 360-degree View Monitor, front and rear parking sensors, a seven-inch TFT gauge display, frameless rearview mirror, and a gunmetal-colored grille.

I was thinking of this as I have a Mazda3. But without AWD and wagon I am looking at a Volvo V60.

I drive 2014 M6 GT with i-ELOOP - 43000 miles. I'm not going to think about changing for another 2 years. Love Mazdas and the way they drive; however, in a segment with declining sales, prices of 2018 6 is ridiculous.
