Updated 2019 Kia Sorento Gets a $90 Price Bump

Kia has announced U.S. pricing for the 2019 Sorento, which is available in five trim levels.

The standard 2019 Kia Sorento L is priced from $26,980 including destination, marking an increase of $90 compared to the outgoing model. Powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the Sorento now comes standard with a new seven-inch touchscreen audio head unit and a revised six-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the 2019 model receives new front and rear fascias, giving it a more sophisticated appearance.

The interior is also noticeably more upscale, while adding new technology such as available Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and a premium Harman Kardon surround sound system. More importantly, seven-passenger three-row seating is now standard across all trim levels.

The 2019 Kia Sorento LX starts from $28,480 for front-wheel drive. Those looking for more performance can opt for the 3.3-liter V6 model with the Sorento LX V6 sporting a base price of $32,280 with front-wheel drive.

The Sorento EX builds on the LX V6 with newly-offered projection fog lights, along with Driver Attention Warning and Lane Keeping Assist. That model has a starting price of $36,580 for front-wheel drive. Options for the Sorento EX include Parking Distance Warning – Forward, an AVN 5.0 navigation system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Slotted above the EX is the SX trim, with a price of $40,980 with front-wheel drive. That model offers optional LED headlights with High Beam Assist and Low Beam Assist. New standard equipment includes two-way powered lumbar support for the front passenger seat and a wireless phone charger, while Parking Distance Warning – Forward, the AVN 5.0 navigation system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Harman Kardon surround sound audio system are all standard features on the Sorento SX.

The range-topping Sorento SXL incorporates all of the new additions to the SX trim and adds LED headlights with High Beam Assist, Low Beam Assist, and LED fog lights as standard features. The 2019 Kia Sorento SXL starts from $45,680.

All-wheel drive is available on all models except the base L for $1,800 additional.
