Cadillac is in the process of revamping its lineup, and the XT5 is towards the top of the list.

Spy photographers have caught the 2020 Cadillac XT5 testing near GM’s Milford Proving Grounds, wearing camouflage on its front and rear ends. Introduced in 2016 as a 2017 model, the Cadillac XT5 will get a mid-cycle refresh, bringing it in line with the new Cadillac design language first seen on the stunning Escala Concept. Although it appears the rear end changes will be kept to the bumper, the front end will receive a noticeable change with a new grille and bumper.

The refresh will also introduce a new powertrain option to the XT5’s lineup, in the form of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That will offer buyers additional options, instead of only offering a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower.

Look for the 2020 Cadillac XT5 to debut sometime in early 2019.
