The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded the 2019 Kia Sorento with a Top Safety Pick+ rating.

It’s the best rating possible from IIHS, which means the Sorento received good ratings in all six crashworthiness tests and has Good-rated headlights when equipped with optional autonomous emergency braking and LED headlights. The latest award for Kia now makes the Korean automaker the leader among automakers with either a 2018 Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Along with the 2019 Kia Sorento, the 2018 Forte sedan, 2018 Optima, and 2018 Soul have all received a Top Safety Pick+ rating. Kia also has four other models that received a Top Safety Pick rating: 2018 Cadenza, 2018 Sedona, 2018 Sorento, and 2018 Sportage.
