The mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette is just around the corner and the news keeps coming. This weekend we received the best photos yet of the upcoming ‘Vette.

Photos show a C8 completely wrapped in camouflage, but with non of the body-hiding cladding of previous shots. As a result, we now have a reasonably clear look at exactly what it will look like.

As Road & Track points out, the pointy front end and the high haunches are reminiscent of the third generation Corvette, which the grille shares a lot in common with the ZR1.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the C8 looks like a slightly less extreme version of the C8.R we saw testing a few weeks ago.

Rumor has it that production on the C8 will start about a year from now, which means that there’s still a long wait before you get yours.
