As expected, the Subaru Viziv Adrenaline Concept has made its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, ushering in Subaru’s new ‘Bolder’ design language that will give its vehicles more prominent characteristics with the goal of broadening the brand’s appeal.

This concept crossover is basically a sporty vision for an evolved version of the Subaru Crosstrek. The company says it was designed with active lifestyles and off-road driving capability in mind, which is typical of all Subarus, although the Viziv Adrenaline Concept is distinctively sporty.

Notable features on the Viziv adrenaline include the unique roof design, which Subaru says “reinforces the body structure, as well as body protectors,” along with the white accented wheels and sharp lighting elements. The integrated rear spoiler also reminds us of sporty Subarus such as the WRX STI.

It’s not clear if the Subaru Viziv Adrenaline Concept will directly spawn a production model, although its influence will likely be found in future Subaru crossovers.

Subaru also took the occasion to debut two new e-Boxer models, which add hybrid power via an electric motor to the brand’s popular Forester and Crosstrek. Although they have only been confirmed for the European market for 2019 so far, it makes sense that the Forester and Crosstrek e-Boxer would eventually come to North America. Fuel economy for the e-Boxer models has not been released yet.
