2022 Volkswagen Cars

Volkswagen designed both the modern Jetta and Passat with the American market in mind, and the German automaker is hoping to boost sales in the United States as it aims for global dominance of the automotive sector. That of course means crossovers, which includes the Tiguan SUV, as well as the three-row Atlas. For 2020 the company introduced the slightly more rakish Atlas Cross Sport, which seats just five. The brand that created the hot hatch remains committed to affordable fun with the Golf, including the GTI and Golf R. In a whole different world is the Arteon, a super-stylish, almost Audi-like sedan. Expect the brand to expand into all-electric vehicles in a big way over the next few years. Volkswagen has come a long way since the Beetle was introduced to America in the 1960s. For a long time, it was a marginal but premium brand positioned as the darling of enthusiasts on a budget. This didn’t translate into sales, and the company has re-positioned itself as a volume player, selling affordable mainstream cars with the cachet of a European brand.
