Back in 2008, Lamborghini showed of the Estoque concept at the Paris Motor Show. While concept cars are nothing new in the world of auto shows, this concept grabbed many headlines, as it was a Lamborghini for the family man. Yes, the craziest car company in the world had shown its vision of a four-door luxury sedan.

As soon as the crowd started showing any excitement, Lamborghini announced that the Estoque is destined to remain just a concept car and that no production plans have been considered. However, in the last year, Porsche and Aston Martin have both put super quick luxury cars on sale, and that seems to have stirred Lamborghini’s product plans. In a meeting with British car magazine Autocar, Lamborghini’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann mentioned that a third model is currently being considered by the company, and it won’t be an SUV, as many internet rumors have been suggesting.

“We have opportunities outside the supercar business, and we showed that with Estoque,” said Winkelmann. “It had a more enthusiastic response than we had expected. It was the right time to see if the brand could go outside of supercars. Even now, people are still emailing me about us making the Estoque.”

He also feels that a four-door model could attract new buyers to the brand, especially in expending markets like China where the luxury car segment is currently booming.

No word yet as to when this new Lamborghini will go into production or if it’ll look like the Estoque concept, but it will be worth keeping an eye on this raging bull.
