BMW is recalling 162 Z4’s and ActiveE vehicles over problems with the power steering.

Model year 2011 ActiveE vehicles and 2012 Z4’s are affected by this recall. The problem is variations in electrical current which can cause a sudden loss of power steering while the vehicle is in motion.

BMW will notify owners of this issue, and fix it free of charge. The recall is scheduled to begin in July 2012. For more information, contact the NHTSA safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236.

For future model of the Z4, it would be more attractive to buyers if a rear-view camera , a blind-spot detection and more room for luggage are considered by designer. These items are already available at BMW, just offer them as options. Thank you in anticipation.
