Hyundai has teamed up with ArmorTech to develop an armoured limousine variant of its Equus sedan which will be heading to the 2012 Moscow International Automobile Salon for its European debut.

The Equus limo will be manufactured in cooperation with Stoof International, based out of Germany, and weighs in at a whopping 8,465 lbs. As with most armoured limousines, the Equus will feature ballistic and blast protection thanks to an armoured shell designed to fully protect the interior from ballistic penetration from any angle.

Despite the significant weight increase, the Equus is still powered by the factory 5.0-liter V8 Tau engine with 430-hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. It is however fully compliant with the VR7 protection level. The Hyundai Equus Limousine Security can be ordered with all the additional options available to the standard Equus model.
