600 HP Hyundai Elantra GT From Bisimoto Rocks SEMA

If there’s one thing the Bisimoto-tuned Hyundai Elantra GT definitely needs, it’s a bigger turbocharger.

Look under the hood and you’ll see something that looks more like a conch shell from the Little Mermaid than a part that belongs next to a four-cylinder engine. Then again, without the wickedly large spool, there wouldn’t be such devastating power. Of course, the 1.8-liter engine underwent a complete rebuild in order to handle all that boost including a 320-lph fuel pump.

Apart from mechanical upgrades, the uber-tweaked powerplant is controlled by an AEM Series 2 EMS.

“With our experience in forced induction and small-displacement engines, we focused on raw horsepower with this SEMA concept,” Bisimoto executive Heidi Kim said in an earlier release.

Apart from squeezing power out of the engine, the car also gets a JNF roll cage and a Progress suspension with a set of coilovers and sway bar as well as 18-inch wheels.

Finally, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the tuner also replaced the interior with racing seats and harnesses.
