2021 Hyundai Cars
Hyundai continues to roll along with attractive, well-equipped, and competitively priced models like the Accent, Elantra, and Sonata. The SUV lineup is also strong, with the Tucson, which was updated recently, the all-new Kona subcompact crossover, and the completely overhauled Santa Fe. There is also a new three-row, seven-seat full-size SUV now on sale called the Hyundai Palisade. At the opposite end of the size and price spectrum from the Palisade is the new and very affordable Venue.
Hyundai has also been bolstering its green car lineup with its Ioniq, which comes as a hybrid, a full electric vehicle, and a plug-in hybrid. The Kona also comes as a full EV and the NEXO hydrogen fuel cell crossover is an option in select markets.
Hyundai also offers a pair of sporty cars in the Elantra Sport and the Veloster, which was totally overhauled for 2019 and now features a high-performance "N" hot hatch version.
Founded in 1967 Hyundai launched the Pony in 1975 with styling from renowned designer Giorgio Giugiaro and engines from Mitsubishi. The car made its way to North America in 1983, with huge success in Canada leading to the launch of the Excel in the U.S. three years later.
