Aston Martin

A British builder of exotic and luxurious sports cars, Aston Martin’s current model range includes four different vehicles, most with convertible Volante versions. The V8-powered Vantage is the brand’s entry-level volume model, with the current generation debuting in 2018. A V12 version debuted in early 2022, targeting track-ready racers like the Porsche 911 GT3. New additions include the DB11 high-end sports car, and DBS.

The company’s other offering couldn’t be more different: it joins the crowded luxury SUV scene with its high-riding DBX.

Best known for being the ride of choice for James Bond, the name Aston Martin is derived from one of the automaker’s founder, Lionel Martin and the Aston Hill hillclimb. Founded in 1913, like many other high end automakers it’s had a tumultuous history until 1994 when Ford took over ownership and since then has thrived in the luxury car market.

Aston Martin DB11 – Review, Specs, Pricing, Features, Videos and More

The Aston Martin DB11 is a super grand touring car. Available as a coupe or convertible, there isn’t much on the market today that looks as good as the DB11. Power comes from a choice of turbocharged engines, a 4.0-liter V8, or a 5.2-liter V12.

The V12 Aston Martin Vanquish Ain't Dead Yet

For 25 years Aston Martin has offered a V12 in its flagship cars. That, shockingly, isn’t about to change. Aston promises huge power from a similarly huge twin-turbo V12 engine, with a claimed 824 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque on tap for what will surely be the next Vanquish. The last Vanquish bowed out in 2018, and its 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 made 580 hp and 465 lb-ft. It’s a tremendous improvement and one that comes as a result of an entirely new V12.

Aston Martin Trademark Has A Wild History: From Star Wars To Spyker

Way back in 2013, Dutch supercar manufacturer Spyker filed a trademark application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EU IPO) for the word “Venator.” The filing was approved, and Spyker held the trademark until March 4th. The automaker never did anything with it, and it was perhaps reserved for a future model before the brand declared bankruptcy in December 2014. But just yesterday, on March 22, Aston Martin filed to retain the trademark on Venator for itself. Why isn’t exactly clear, but the name has some history elsewhere too.

10 Surprisingly Affordable Used Supercars

Just like anything else, supercars suffer from depreciation, making them a bargain buy as they age before they start getting collectible. It’s been interesting to watch the market over the last few years, as we’re seeing these depreciation curves shifting in a variety of vehicles. As you’ll see below, some of our selections are already climbing in value, whereas others have yet to hit the bottom of their price curve. Either way, a pre-owned supercar is a great way to get a lot of car for a lot less bank, though it’s not without its pitfalls. The more complex the car, the fussier its engine and electronics can be, and thus more expensive its repairs can get. Buy with caution, and plan on setting some cash aside for fixing it up, but you’ll be happy you did.
