2015 Subaru Legacy Leaked Before Chicago Debut
Pictures of the 2015 Subaru Legacy leaked ahead of its debut on Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show.
Official details are still unavailable about the car, but the images leaked by enthusiast forum LegacyGT.com show that the new Legacy will wear the same corporate styling as seen on the WRX. Subaru’s new prominent grille along with narrower tail lights, a more swept back roofline and rounded rear bumper all characterize the new car.
While Subaru hasn’t said anything about the powertrain, you can expect that it will drop the old models’ six-cylinder, probably in favor of the 2.0-liter turbocharged Boxer engine found in the WRX. It could also be offered with the 2.0- and 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines found in the Impreza and Forester.
The interior gets updates with a layout in line with the rest of Subaru’s newer product line. An updated center stack and console help give the car a fresh appearance along with what looks like plastic meant to mimic brushed metal.
Subaru will release details about the car on Thursday in Chicago.

Corrections, Subaru never had a V6 engine. It is an inline boxer 6 engine.
the Subaru 3.8 liter, 6 cylinder is a horizontally opposed boxer. Much like my old 1962 Chevy Corvair Monza. But that was air cooled like a Porshe.
