BMW has launched its North American advertising campaign for its i sub-brand.

A trio of commercials debuted during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics opening ceremony, but the German automaker is sharing more digital shorts online, all of which focus on the BMW i3 and i8.

“It is a rare and exciting opportunity to launch a new brand and for BMW i, one that requires a world-stage,” said BMW of North America vice president of marketing Trudy Hardy. “We look forward to making a bold statement about the future of sustainable mobility.”

BMW is the official mobility partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the advertising campaign for the Winter Olympics will be the brand’s largest media investment of the year. In addition to the massive advertising campaign, BMW brought its popular “Drive for Team USA” fundraising campaign back, which donates $10 to Team USA for every consumer who test drives any BMW model in the U.S. The promotion will be active through February 28.
