2015 Volvo Concept Estate Video, First Look

Can wagons be sexy? Volvo certainly thinks so, debuting its Concept Estate at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

The Volvo Concept Estate is the brand’s third concept, following up on the Coupe Concept and XC Coupe Concept, all of which previews the brand’s future design direction. Calling it a three-door sports wagon, the Concept Estate previews the next-generation V70 model and proves wagons don’t necessarily have to be boring.

According to the Swedish automaker, the Concept Estate is inspired by Volvo’s 1800 ES model from the 1970s, including the two-spoke steering wheel found in the cabin. The brand still calls it a design study, but clearly this is the direction Volvo is heading for its bright future.
