It’s official. The new Toyota Tacoma will make its debut at the upcoming 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

From the teaser photo, we can determine that the Tacoma will have it’s own name stamped directly into the sheet metal on the tailgate, exactly like it is on Toyota’s half-ton, the Tundra. The photo also reveals that the trailer light hookups have been moved to an easy-to-access position above the bumper.

With the introduction of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, the Tacoma finally has some stiff competition, so Toyota wants to make sure it’s small truck can keep up.
