2015 Kia Sedona Gets Five-Star NHTSA Safety Rating

The all-new 2015 Kia Sedona has earned the highest safety rating NHTSA has to offer.

The Korean automaker’s minivan scored five stars in the front-impact, side-impact and pole tests while getting four stars in the rollover test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also named the Sedona a Top Safety Pick despite higher test standards.

Powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 276 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, the 2015 Sedona has been updated with an all-new chassis that uses 76 percent more Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), adding to the body’s overall rigidity and durability. According to Kia, the minivan’s chassis static torsional stiffness is 36 percent greater than its closest competitor.
