2016 Chevy Cruze Spy Photos Reveal New Style
Brand new 2016 Chevy Cruze spy photos are in, showing the car’s updated styling.
Chevy’s compact car has adopted new looks from the recently redesigned Malibu, taking on a more aggressive, angular appearance. That’s not all that the Cruze will take from the Malibu either.
A new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which was introduced with the updated Malibu, is expected to be available with the 2016 Cruze. Significant weight loss is also expected for Chevy’s compact car, along with the addition of a new dual-clutch seven-speed transmission, although which engine it will be mated to remains a mystery. In the Malibu, the 1.5-liter turbo is paired with a six-speed auto box.

The 2.0-liter diesel engine is expected to remain an option, while a plug-in hybrid powertrain is rumored to join the car’s lineup as well.
A hatchback version of the Cruze could also join the lineup for 2016.
The car will be likely be shown to the public at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, although the debut could happen at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January, with sales beginning in early 2016.

Hyundai called. They want their Elantra back.
This is a pretty radical departure from all the previous spy photos which looked like the Chinese Cruze with a modified front end. If this is our Cruze, GM did a instant refresh for our market and kept everyone in the dark about the styling change. Surprise, surprise! Hope it looks good in person.
