BMW has a treat debuting later this month.

The German automaker has announced that it’ll unveil the new BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage on May 22, 2015 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Along with the announcement, the company released a teaser rendering of the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, revealing an extremely wide coupe with equally aggressive styling. According to BMW, the model is the BMW Design Team’s tribute to the BMW 3.0 CSL, an iconic BMW Coupe from the 1970s.

The design of the BMW 3.0 CCSL Hommage will feature “striking air deflectors, powerful wheel arches and a prominent roof and rear spoiler,” which is evident in the teaser image. Expect plenty of carbon fiber to be used throughout the body in order to focus on the car’s lightweight design concept.

Inside, BMW hints that the interior will be stripped down to its necessities, leaving just the absolutely essential parts that’s needed for the car to function. In other words, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage will focus on lightweight design, sportiness and elegance.

Expect more teasers and details on the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage to be released in the coming days as we get closer to the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
