The Aston Martin DB11 is About to Get Even Better

As if it wasn’t already hot enough, Aston Martin has been spied testing a hotter DB11 variant.

Sporting a larger front spoiler, wider side skirts, aggressive rear diffuser and what appears to be a bigger front grille, Aston Martin is likely working on a DB11 S. This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise considering that Aston Martin offered the DBS model for the DB9 and has offered high-performance variants for the Vanquish, Rapide, and Vantage models.

The prototype is wearing heavy camouflage, but you can make out some of the details of the larger front opening, even though Aston Martin is trying to mask it with a white mesh grille.

What’s more interesting is the interior. Up front there is a pair of Recaro seats, while a roll cage can be seen in the rear, suggesting this might be a hardcore track model. It’s more likely, however, that they could have been installed for testing purposes only, especially because Aston Martin might eventually take the DB11 S onto the track. Expect comfy, luxurious seats up front in the production version. There is a possibility the British automaker will offer a roll cage as an option, similar to Porsche’s hardcore sports cars.
