This Amazing Dakar Inspired Rally Bentley Could Be Yours

Bentley unveiled its all-new 2018 Continental GT this week, but we’d suggest holding out if you were thinking of picking one up.

That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with the new Continental, we’ve just found something much better. The wild, modified Continental GT you see here was built for National Geographic’s Supercar Megabuild TV series and was recently listed for sale on eBay in the United Kingdom. The creators went full Mad Max on this build, installing Quantum Racing adjustable shocks, huge 265×65 off-road tires, a steel external roll-cage and underbody skid plates. Completing the Dakar-like look are some wide fender flares, 17-inch wheels and a spare wheel and gas cans mounted on the rear.

The apocalypse-ready Bentley started out life as a standard, 6.0-liter W12 powered Continental GT with a silver exterior and beige leather interior. It retains much of the luxury equipment you might expect a Bentley to have including the full leather interior, satellite navigation, cruise control, climate control, a multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles, parking sensors, Xenon headlamps and more. The seller says the vehicle is entirely road legal and has a valid MOT until November of this year.

“This is an extremely rare opportunity to own this one-off Dakar inspired Bentley off-roader which maintains all the comforts and luxuries inside,” the eBay listing states. “This project was a bespoke build for the National Geographic series Supercar Megabuild. There is no other Bentley like this on the planet. Custom built, and the star of its own tv show: this is a monster Bentley that will turn heads wherever you go!”

As of this writing, the military green Bentley has attracted 37 bids, with the highest being £15,100 (about $20,000 USD). The reserve hasn’t been met, so if you’re looking to put this unstoppable luxury coupe in your garage, you’ll have to fork over much more than that.

This thing is hideous! not to mention a complete waste of a Bentley. I like this quote This project was a bespoke build for the National Geographic series Supercar Megabuild. There is no other Bentley like this on the planet. Custom built, and the star of its own tv show: this is a monster Bentley that will turn heads wherever you go! First of all, "bespoke" is a word that should never be used when describing something this idiotic. Secondly, I'm pretty sure there was no other car on the planet like my P.O.S. '90 Corolla, but that doesn't mean it was a good car. And lastly, it'll turn heads wherever you go because it's just that ugly. The people who bid on this car prove that there are some out there that will fall for anything. This thing is a redneck limo.
