Subaru Drops Two More Awesome STi Models for Japan Only
Subaru has debuted new STi versions of its BRZ and WRX models for Japan only.
The first of these special editions is the WRX STi S208, which builds on the performance-minded STi with some exclusive equipment. Subaru hasn’t released official details, but the automaker promises a lower center of gravity thanks to a standard carbon fiber roof and an increased engine output. It will be limited to just 450 units and will be sold in Japan only.

Less extreme than the S208 is the BRZ STi Sport concept. There’s no additional power on tap here, but Subaru boasts of “excellent handling stability,” and improved body rigidity. There’s also some STi wheels, a subtle rear wing and red brake calipers. The STi Sport will be even more exclusive than the S208, with only 100 units planned.
More details on both the WRX STi S208 and BRZ STi will become available at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show on October 25th.

I say a pox on the EPA, this is the real reason why we don't get enthusiast cars in the US. Manufacturers simply don't care to try and fit the mold the EPA mandates, its too expensive and there is not a lot of room to price up. I would love to see the Levorg in the states as well but I have a feeling the lack of that car is the unfortunate ignorance of Subaru.
