Subaru has previewed three concept cars it will bring to the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show late next month.

The most significant of these concepts is the Subaru Viziv Performance Concept, which the automaker says previews its future visions in regards to both design and technology. While the automaker has only provided a couple of teaser images of the Viziv Performance Concept, they give us a pretty good idea of what the design study will look like. Subaru says the concept will be self-driving, featuring an advanced driving support technology that centers on the driver’s eyesight. The Viziv may be indication of what to expect from Subaru in the realm of autonomous tech and may even hint toward the next-generation Impreza design-wise.

The new Impreza Future Sport concept may also hint toward the future of the Impreza. The concept is based on the current fifth-generation Impreza five-door but features a different front fascia with some unique LED fog lamps integrated into the front grille and a different rear bumper with twin center-exit exhaust tips. The ‘Yellow Pearl’ exterior color also builds on the sport equation and is joined by black contrasting wheels and exterior trim and tinted taillamps.

Subaru has also shown a mildly modified version of the Crosstrek ahead of Tokyo called the XV Fun Adventure Concept. It expands on the go-anywhere ethos of the Crosstrek with tough plastic body cladding, knobby off-road tires, black wheels and a roof carrier.

We’ll see more of these concepts, including the Viziv Performance Concept, at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show in late October.
