The upcoming 2017 Tokyo Motor Show will be host to a lot of unique vehicle debuts. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and other Japanese automakers are set to show up with an arsenal of eye-popping designs that will definitely get everyone talking.

The show’s press days are October 25 and 26, and AutoGuide.com will be reporting the exciting news and individual debuts as they happen live from Tokyo.

In the meantime, here are the new debuts expected from the major automakers attending the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda

Honda debuted an amazing little concept called the Urban EV at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will follow it up with a Sports EV Concept in Tokyo. We loved the Urban EV’s retro and pure hatchback design and we can’t wait to see how it translates into a sporty little coupe. All Honda has shown us is this above teaser, and so far, we like what we see.

Lexus

Although it already debuted at the recent 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show, Tokyo will be getting its first look at the flagship LS sedan. In addition, a long-rumored seven-seat version of the RX crossover is poised to make its grand entrance. Rumors also say that Lexus will debut a new concept car.

Mitsubishi

MITSUBISHI e-EVOLUTION CONCEPT

Mitsubishi has been laying low but is hoping to shake things up with its e-Evolution Concept. Although many people don’t like that the Japanese automaker is using the Evo nameplate for an electric crossover, it should still be an interesting debut. The concept apparently incorporates an AI system with a four-wheel-drive electric powertrain.

Nissan

Nissan will be having a big show with the debut of its electric Leaf Nismo. We know what it will look like, but we’re also hoping Nissan will announce some performance upgrades. There are also rumors that Nissan will debut a concept for the next-generation 370Z sports car.

Subaru

Subaru is bringing its mysterious Viziv Performance Concept to the show. This could be a sneak peek of the company’s new design language moving forward and it could preview what the next-generation Impreza/WRX could be like. The concept will be autonomous and have a lot of new technology. Of course, Subaru will debut two new STI versions of the BRZ and STI, but those models are for Japan only.

Toyota

Toyota is continuing its ongoing design resurgence and Tokyo will be host to a ton of exciting debuts. First is the interesting GR HV Sports Concept, which already debuted online. It’s a sporty hybrid concept based on the Toyota 86 and inspired by the company’s LMP1 car. Following is the minivan-inspired TJ Cruiser and the retro-looking Century Limo. Not to be forgotten, it has been rumored that a new concept for the upcoming Supra will debut as well.

Mazda

Mazda will be bringing two new concepts to Tokyo. One previews what the next-generation Mazda3 could look like and the other concept will likely be a slinky rotary-powered sports car that will be used to introduce a new design language for the Japanese automaker. Considering how excellent Mazda’s concept cars have been in the recent past, we are really excited for these ones.

Yamaha

Yamaha is known for making motorcycles, but at the last Tokyo show, it debuted an amazing concept car and will follow it up with a new concept this year.
