Both the 2019 Ford Focus sedan and hatchback models have been spied with minimal camouflage as they get ready for their debut.

It appears the new Ford Focus will grow in size in order to better compete with the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Golf. On the exterior, there are some minor styling changes heading to the Focus, including new LED accent lights in the headlamps. The front grille appears to be very similar to the outgoing model, so overall the Focus won’t change too much in terms of design. But the model will benefit most from its size increase, with more rear legroom for passengers. Expect the interior to get an upgrade as well.

The Ford Focus sedan will be produced in China for the Chinese market, as well as the U.S. market. It will likely use a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine as its volume option, paired with a dual-clutch transmission. Look for the 2019 Ford Focus to make its debut sometime next year considering the American automaker isn’t even using heavy camouflage anymore to conceal its details.
