The first retail production 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the work it does to support wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest program, said Chevrolet. The auction will take place on January 20, 2018 and you can bet Rick Hendrick will be among the bidders.

Powered by a supercharged LT5 engine, the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 brings 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque to the streets. Designed to take on the world’s best supercars, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will go on sale next spring.

Don’t be surprised if the first Corvette ZR1 sells for over $1 million at the auction. At the 2017 L.A. Auto Show, the American automaker debuted the convertible variant of the ZR1 and also announced the coupe’s pricing will start from $119,995 including destination.

“GM and Chevrolet are proud to honor and support the brave men and women of our armed forces,” said Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. Sales and Service. “With the proceeds from the auction of the Corvette ZR1, we will be able to offer additional support to some of our most severely wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest effort.”
