McLaren has released a second teaser image showing its new 570S-based model ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

The new model, which is expected to be a ‘Long Tail’ variant of the 570S, will feature a different rear fascia and diffuser and new exhaust tips relocated to the top of the engine cover, among other changes. In a statement, McLaren said the vehicle will “benefit from increased power, minimised weight, optimised aerodynamics and enhanced driver engagement.” Additionally, the vehicle will be “limited to the few,” and will thus be built in extremely limited quantities.

As was reported previously, this new McLaren model will feature a more powerful version of McLaren’s 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8. It could be making up to or over 600 hp, so don’t be shocked if it gets a badge similar to ‘600 LT’ or ‘590 LT’ The ‘LT’ portion of course references the iconic Long Tail name that rose to prominence following the McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail’s appearance at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.

McLaren says the vehicle will race up the hillclimb course at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 7th after making an online-only debut in the next couple of weeks. We’ll bring you full details on the British supercar as soon as they become available.
