Back in 2016, a future product roadmap for Hyundai’s Genesis brand leaked online, revealing the company was working on a two-door coupe variant of the Genesis G70 sedan.

Now, thanks to the Genesis-obsessed minds over at our dedicated Genesis G70 forum, we can see what a potential two-door Genesis G70 Coupe might look like.

This artist’s rendering of a Genesis G70 Coupe looks how you might a expect a two-door G70 to and features a similar silhouette to other luxury coupes like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It also makes use of the brand’s newest grille design, as seen on the updated 2020 Genesis G90 sedan.

When the production Genesis G70 Coupe arrives (assuming Genesis still plans on making it) it will likely offer both the 255 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and 365 hp 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6. We assume the six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions available in the sedan would carry over too.

The leaked Genesis product map indicated the G70 Coupe would be a 2020 model year vehicle, so the actual Hyundai-designed production vehicle could debut sometime later this year or early next year.
