2012 Buick Cars

In the midst of a resurgence, Buick has significantly altered its product offering over the past few years. Starting in 2008, the Enclave SUV brought bold new styling, which was met positively helping the big crossover to become the most popular model in the brand’s lineup. Next came a more traditional big sedan, the LaCrosse, followed by the Opel Insignia based Regal, including the Regal Turbo and high-performance Regal GS. Languishing in the product lineup is the Lucerne while for 2012 the Verano joins the brand lineup as its first compact sedan.

As the oldest American car brand, dating back to 1903 the company was bough by William C. Durant in 1904 and went on to considerable success eventually becoming the largest automaker in America. So much so, in fact that Durant used the funds generated to buy out other companies, creating General Motors. Having built icons of the American auto industry like the Riviera and Park Avenue, Buick sales peaked in 1984, two years after the introduction of what is easily the brand’s best known car, the Grand National.
