Buick

Buick has had quite an image shake-up over the last decade, abandoning passenger car sales altogether. Buick is now exclusively the producer of crossovers and SUVs, at least in North America.

The brand’s entry-level model is the Encore, a more luxurious version of the Chevrolet Trax. Buick’s other small crossover is the slightly larger Encore GX, which is based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer platform.

The Envision fights in the hyper-competitive compact crossover market. It has two engine options and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Thanks to some savvy advertising back when the first-gen model launched, the mid-size Enclave is now the de facto face of the modern Buick brand. The big seven-seater has a softer ride than its sibling, the Chevy Traverse, with a more luxurious, whisper-quiet interior to boot. Those looking for a fancier Buick will want to check out the Avenir trim on either the Envision or the Enclave.
