2013 Nissan Cars
The Nissan Altima is one of America’s best selling cars, and Nissan has seen enormous success with their Versa small car (which is the cheapest new car in America). Nissan has also had success with their Sentra compact, Murano and Rogue crossovers and Frontier pickup. Halo cars like the 370Z and 370Z Roadster, the GTR supercar and Leaf electric car have helped the brand’s image, but other vehicles like the Juke crossover, Quest minivan, Xterra SUV, Cube compact, Maxima full-size sedan, Pathfinder and Armada SUVs and the Titan full-size pickup haven’t achieved much success.
Nissan, originally known as Datsun in America, got off to a strong start in the late 1960s and 1970s by offering affordable, reliable alternatives to European cars with offerings like the 240Z and 510 sports cars. A name change to Nissan in the 1980’s had little impact on the brand’s success, and their vehicles have constantly won acclaim, with offerings like the Sentra SE-R, 300ZX Turbo and the Maxima solidified Nissan’s reputation was an everyman’s sports car maker in the early 1990’s. The introduction of the GTR supercar, sold since 1989 in world markets, has proved that Nissan is capable of competing with the world’s best at a fraction of the price.
