General Motors has filed a trademark for the title ‘Citi Express,’ perhaps hinting that the American automaker could be working on a compact cargo van.

The filing was made on October 1st, 2012 and is currently live and filed under, “Goods and Services: motor land vehicles, namely automobiles, sport utility vehicles, trucks, vans, engines therefor and structural parts thereof.”

The Chevrolet Express is GM’s cargo van offering, and the Citi Express name would fit in with a compact cargo van model. This could be one of the surprises that GM hinted at when it announced that Chevrolet would bring 13 new and redesigned models to market next year.
